Job Summary: On behalf of our clients, Global Skilled Employment Services is seeking a skilled and experienced Poultry Worker with strong communication and time management skills. The ideal candidate should possess self-motivation, be capable of working independently, and as a part of the production team.

Requested Position: Poultry Warehouse Attendant

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispose of all mortalities and remove deceased birds from the sheds, placing them in the designated disposal area. Report daily mortality numbers to the Farm Manager.

• Inspect all drinker lines and feed troughs to ensure they are filled and no spills are present.

• Perform all checks and tasks listed on the checklist before leaving each shed.

• Sweep control rooms and replenish footbaths as needed.

• Prepare broiler houses for placement and assist in placing day-old chicks according to Farm Manager’s instructions.

• Assist in catching operations as directed by the Farm Manager.

• Responsible for conducting maintenance as per Farm Management instructions.

• Responsible for general housekeeping and grounds maintenance as directed by the Farm Manager.

• Implement “Rodent Control Program” as instructed by the Farm Manager.

• Perform silo readings as directed by the Farm Manager.

• Operate farm machinery and equipment as required, such as tractors, forklifts, ride-on mowers, rotary hoes, etc.

• Adhere to all company procedures, biosecurity protocols, FREPA regulations (for Free-Range sites), RSPCA regulations (for RSPCA Approved sites), and AW regulations

Required Skills:

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Developing knowledge in animal husbandry, legislations, animal welfare, poultry production, and occupational health and safety.

Salaries are inclusive and permanent, ranging from $63,000 to $70,000 annually (plus 10.5% OTE superannuation).
