“Position for Arab applicants to work in Austria with the United Nations as a Legislation, Judicial Records, and Policy Analysis Consultant with funding.
The required position is a Consultant for Legislation, Judicial Records, and Policy Analysis.
The purpose of the job is to conduct analysis and dissemination of legislations, judicial records, and policy-related documents, with a focus on the Arabic language, within the framework of information-gathering efforts regarding the implementation of the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime (UNTOC). This also includes making these documents available on the SHERLOC Knowledge Management Portal and undertaking awareness activities to promote the portal. This may involve activities such as bilateral consultations and expert presentations, among others. The duration of the employment is from September 1, 2023, to February 29, 2024.”
Admission Requirements:
- An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Law, International Law, Criminal Law, or a related field. A Bachelor’s degree at the first level in similar fields with an additional two years of qualified experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
- A minimum of two years progressively responsible experience in legislation analysis/legal research.
- Experience in legislation analysis/legal research in the field of crime prevention, criminal justice, transnational organized crime, or closely related subject matter.
- Previous experience working with knowledge management portals, such as legal databases, is desirable.
- Previous work experience with international organizations is desirable.
- Previous experience with website content management systems is desirable.
- Proficiency in both Arabic and French languages
